Well...

We seem to have a consistent "Club" formation momentum going here, but mostly about the Mfr's. How about "Number 9, Number 9..." in honor of my birth (and John Lennon's too, if you like the Beatles...) So to get it started, here's a pic of my 9's.

Silvanus - That pic of the BHP on the rocks is making me a little twitchy. Please send it to me asap so I can put it in a safe place. ;)

I'm Back...

I neglected to understand the responsibilities of starting a "Club" on this forum. All of you, thank you for contributing. We who own a 9, appreciate it's advantages. #1, it's a great training platform after the .38 and the .22, so we can always introduce folks to shooting without the pain. Keep posting!!!

Most of you, if not all of you know what a box stock 3rd gen G19 looks like, and that's my only 9mm for now.

And what about the Glock?

But seriously, I was so afraid it would fall down and get scratched up :uhoh: (which it didn't, fortunately)

Post your pictures anyway, Spyderdude, my 17 is nothing special either ;)

Big Red82- Tell me about your P2000. I'm looking at those right now. How is the trigger? Thanks.

I had another, but I only kept this one. It won't be the last as I find 9mm to be the best caliber for me (until I find a better .45). Sufficient energy deposit, accuracy, recoil control, and capacity are why 9 is my choice.

The P2000 is a great little piece for CCW. If you are familiar with HK triggers, this still has the heavy 11.5lb DA trigger.
This is my view on the trigger that I posted on Sigforum:
My biggest beefs with HKs in general is their heavy DA trigger pull and long reset. Also, the trigger design itself is very curved and hurts my flat finger. The DA is pretty darn heavy. Mind you, I get very accurate shots with the DA shot (in fact, better than the SA shots), but I would like the ability to change the lbs on the trigger pull. Gunsmiths can easily change the trigger pull of Glocks and SIGS, but HKs seem like very hard guns to modify. If I could get a DA/8lbs - SA/4lbs with a super reduced reset in my HKP2000, it would be the hands down winner in the ccw department.

I would suggest trying out the LEM trigger. Besides those two things though (trigger pull and trigger curvature) - I can't praise it enough.
