Mayor Nutter of Philadelphia should be glad that patent stupidity is not a crime. I'll bet you didn't know that an "SKS is a semiautomatic rifle, although it can be converted with simple hand tools to a fully automatic submachine gun."

This article refered to the SKS as a carbine, semi-automatic rifle, assault rifle (by assocaition) and possibly a submachine gun.

The Mayor should shorten his last name by three letters...

He said the carbine [CKC] was powerful enough to penetrate a car and kill someone inside.

So is a lever action .30-30 that can be purchased at a pawn shop in Philly for $100.

The body armor worn by police cannot withstand shots from the carbine, Nutter added. Liczbinski was not wearing body armor when he was shot.

1. Many rifles and some pistol calibers (that I will not list) can penetrate a general issue vest. However, the officer murdered was not wearing a vest so why does this matter?

2. A bolt action .30-'06 carried by PA hunters during deer season is far more lethal than a dirty, used CKC.

The SKS is a semiautomatic rifle, although it can be converted with simple hand tools to a fully automatic submachine gun.

All repeating weapons can be converted to fully automatic fire, including bolt action rifles and revovlers.

Passing such critical officer safety legislation will protect our police from weapons that have no other purpose than to maim and kill them."

The RKBA protects weapons. Weapons are used to maim and kill. The RKBA is not about deer hunting or target shooting, it is about fighting.

Go ahead and arrest and prosecute the individual(s) that murdered the police officer, but I did nothing wrong. I refuse to be punished for exercising my civil right to keep and bear arms. I will not comply with your unconstitutional laws.

Precisely correct

Exactly. Rather than simply prosecute the guilty, the extreme prohibitions on firearms, borne of total ignorance of their technical capability, deprives the law-abiding gun owner of 2nd Amendment freedoms.

It is not the law-abiding gun owner engaging in lawlessness. Instead of taking away Constitutional rights, how about getting the lawless off the street, instead of turning them loose all the time?
:what:

Are we going to remove all flammables from the marketplace?

Are we going to remove bricks, rocks, and sticks from our urban areas?

How about removing profane language with legislation? Lots of people have been wounded with words, and some lawless people talk on full-auto.

The problem with technocracy is that the people who actually understand the fields being legislated are the ones that people trust the least: gunnies and guns, economists and the economy....

Violent crime is the excuse leftist extremists have been using the past 40 years to disarm the commoners in America. It's just an excuse. That's all it's ever been. That's all it will ever be.

The very officers that are supposed to uphold and defend the constitution are doing their level best to destroy it. At least the police chief is.

hahahahaha!:D yes, so they do.... Quick! another law is needed....

It was not explicitly included in the federal ban. When questioned abut that, Ramsey responded angrily: "Then add it to the frickin' list."
Bwahahaha. Quite a tight ship they're running down there.

And might I add--
Thats some mighty fine police work there Lou.

The Nutters are running the asylum.

Isn't this the same guy that said "the brothers and sisters are now running this town"?

He said the carbine [CKC] was powerful enough to penetrate a car and kill someone inside.

We should ban cars. They are powerful enough to kill someone inside a different car.

the guy that shot that cop had had a grand total of 27 arrests and or charges of weapons related offenses in his life... but one more law would have prevented it according to Nutter

Of course! Dont you know we're only one, perfect law away from 100% peaceful, loving, utopia? No wonder you're no in politics.....

:D

O really? What a versatile weapon! You can change it to a pistol caliber full auto gun! I'd like to see him demonstrate that for everyone. It's been illegal to do that for the past 74 years..but a new law ought to do the trick!
Assault rifles "are not used for sport, and they shouldn't be in possession of any citizen to protect themselves," Rendell said.
Protecting yourself is a sport? I guess it's not fair to criminals to use the most effective tool. Whatever. I'll just go back to splitting this firewood...with a butter knife.

AMEN! PREACH IT BROTHER!

(for those unfamiliar with my postings, I am often decrying faulty economic reasoning)
