I guess you're trying to make the connection between what the police use and what is best for the H/D situation.
Yes, police choose for a reason.
That reason has nothing to do with what is best for the homeowner.
Police may have to wade into a riot, I'm not.
Police may be shooting it out with bankrobbers, I am not.
If an innocent bystander gets shot during a police shootout, I doubt the cop goes to jail, If a homeowner shoots a neighbor, the DA will portray him as "Gun crazy, using killer loads, and armor piercing bullets".
So, with all due respect, I don't care what the cops use. I have to balance my safety against those near me.
