The persuader, lest I am mistaken, is a pistol grip model.

Actualy the Persuader comes in either pistol grip only , or standard configuration butt stock.
I agree with keeping it simple and functional, and then practice until your good at it.

Get a used, serviceable solid pump shotgun.

Spend your REAL money on ammo, and maybe something like this.

As several have mentioned, stocks- especially synthetic stocks- tend to run a little long, especially if you use a very squared-off stance. I will go out on a limb, and suggest that the right LOP (length of pull) is more important than whether you have a Remington, Mossberg, Winchester, or Ithaca...
