The biggest pile of garbage I've ever read

that was the most rediculous article from an “expert” I’ve read on the subject of ammo selection and hunting. There were too many wrongs in that article. I especially liked how he included “Winchester Super Short Magnum” as a good cartridge to shoot out of a .223. Even more disconcerting is all the comments below thought his article was great.

Judging by the picture of the author and evaluating his writing style I’d say he’s just a kid with very little experience

These from the link ... sounds inadequate and questionable as to their intent but what do I know about hunting.

"Shawn Harrison is our expert in hunting.

He was born in Alaska, so hunting was his hobby since high school. Later, Shawn took a Hunter Training at Alaska Department of Fish and Game to structure his knowledge and now he is open to share his knowledge with our readers.

“Unlike most big game ammo, the 223 is not heavier in the air and they are not often unstable” .... dude

“The energy exerted depends on the type of ammunition. A 308 caliber will develop a needle-like wound; the same cannot be said of a 223.” .... Dood

“You should know that you are using the inappropriate rifle if you end up going for heavier bullets” .... DUDE what?!

A lot of it looks like it has been badly translated from another language.

A few gems...
This simply means that you need to select a size that will push more bullets further with fewer drops at longer ranges. The best selections you can make are 223 Remington and 223 Winchester.
Yup, you want to avoid the many drops.
Normally, the manufacturer of ammunition splits the rifling to a twist rate that will effectively even out the projectile.
Nothing makes a projectile odd like improperly split rifling.
If you are shooting at 300 yards, your main challenge will be to maintain the transonic speed. Accuracy usually becomes difficult the moment the bullet drops into subsonic range. Gravity plays a significant role as far as speed is concerned.
Usually if I concentrate very hard I can keep a .223 bullet transonic out past 300 yards. You know, as long as gravity does its part. :D

The whole thing is some kind of scam. The text is probably lifted from various websites by someone who doesn't understand any of it and maybe mangled through some kind of translation by an ESL writer. My guess is that it's set up to provide a website to place advertising.

The pictures are pulled from other sites. Here's the source for the title image.

And here's the source for one of the other images.

With some dedication, I imagine one could figure out whose picture they are using for the made up author "Shawn Harrison".

I tried but could not find "About us" showing office address or any kind of location.

I smell scam too.

OK so first I thought English was not his first language. As I continued to read I must have said, "WAT?" to myself a dozen times. Then I noticed he has many other articles and I looked at a few of them too. Wow.

Then it all became clear to me:

No writing, speech, behavior, etc from any other human being should ever surprise anyone, especially on the internet; note all of the behaviors of today that appear completely thoughtless, reckless and primal. People can rationalize anything and everything - that is what makes the species so very dangerous.

"Hand loaders have some very convinced parameters." Ah, now I see what my problem is with the perfect .32 Long load-- my parameters aren't convinced. I'll search the site for some help with that. And, you know what? I think that's my new signature line.

"Federal Fusion is a great suggestion. It fires accurately, very lethal and has enough power to hit the target each and every single time."

I would hate to have ammo that only had the power to hit the target only some of the time. Brilliant writing by an "expert", but it's on the internet, so it must be true.
