Just thought I'd share a little strategy I've started using to support our RKBA.

I subscribed to the Brady Bunch newsletter :)barf:), but then whenever they send out emails to contact key local congressmen / senators on up and coming legislation I just use the link to spread our message.

It's easy to change the message and IMHO it's important to keep these issues in front of your local politicians as frequently as we can, certainly the other side is hard at work.

I also feel like a non-form letter note, even sent via email, probably gets more attention then the form letters they must get bombarded with on the other side.

See how long you get away with it. I used to do that too and then I got deleted off the list.

I think they must screen some of the emails for this very reason.

Kindrox, I've got plenty of personal email addresses I can add to the list if they toss me. ;)

MT Gunny, I like this method only because it ensures that the exact folks that the Brady Bunch are targeting are getting responses from our side. Also it's using their bandwidth, servers, etc. :)

Something I just Noticed . They sent me an Alert, there Premade Message is now Mostly there words! only a section in the middle gives you the opportunity to put your own words in it. So From Now on, NO ONE Should use the Brady site to send Emails!! They have Discovered the Ruse!! I wonder how many years it took them to Realize What was happening?

chinpokojed: The Way I have been Doing it, still goes to the "Exact Folks" + who ever I decide who needs to see it also! For example, there latest Alert was intended for Congressman Denny Reburg, I went to the site ( http://www.capwiz.com/nra/dbq/officials/ ) wrote my own letter and sent it to Denny and 2 other State Senators.

I like the idea, but I don't want them to be able to brag about how many people get their newsletter and are on their email list. Then they can make it sound like they are more powerful than they actually are just because gun owners are on their lists. Good idea, but bad idea.

I used to be signed up to the Brady list, But I backed out when I recieved a response from my congressman thanking me for my anti gun vote!! They dont read the mass E-mails, they just count the numbers and do an automatic reply!

If you live in California, for California legislation--the legislative tools section of the www.calnra.com website--specifically the one touch system works well--and definitely gets their attention:evil:
