By the time I finished reading this I was 100% completely LOST, to me the citizens rifle is a good idea, something to be used as a "normal" rifle but if $#!t ****s the fan can be converted.

Thank God someone gets it!
;)
There's a whole thread devoted to the CR concept.

Let's analyze this:

1. The original post makes little to no sense, as has been pointed out.

2. The OP has not chimed in to clarify or modify.

3. Therefore, this thread is a waste of time and space.

Someone close it please! :uhoh:

This is thread is crazy.

The BAR in the original list is the only one that's worth a darn. And it's heavy. And I want mine to be fed by the normal detachable box magazine.

A Chauchaut is only good for one thing, and that is beating the crap out of whoever handed it to you and taking their weapon. :barf:

I know highorder, I just felt I needed to contribute to the silliness. :)

Also, laser cats can't stand up to Thundercats. :p

if the goverment were to give out machine guns, they would just give M16s or something......
He makes a good point, they could hand out these or other common machine guns, it would be impractical to start producing a whole new line of machine guns just to arm maybe a few thousand people or less.

And if the U.S. is ever invaded and you really want to fight, I recomend you join the army, you'll probably have a higher survival rate.

The Romanian G AKs you see floating around were kinda under this premise. They were semi-auto, but in case of war, were set up so auto-sears could be quickly handed out to the militiamen and installed when they were called up for combat.

A sear is far less expensive to make than a whole machine gun.

BTW, were these issued back when Romania was still a member of the communist block? I can't imagine a communist country letting their people have guns.

GUNNERPALACE: Most "people who can't meet military requirements" (probably for psycological reasons) and "lone wolf types" are not really the type of people that I would consider to be on my side in the event that the manure strikes the rotating ventilation device, and I don't really know how comfortable I'd be knowing that they were armed.

What happened to the idea of freedom?
I am a lone wolf type. That does not mean I am nuts. That does not mean I am mentally unstable.
It does mean that, while I will not fight stupid wars for our government, I will defend the sovereignty of the Constitution if the times gets grave enough.

If someone somehow managed to overcome our natural defenses (AKA two oceans) and invaded us, I kind of don't think there would be much choice about whether or not "we" joined the military.

FWIW, at this point this thread is so derailed that we might as well talk about something.

Geeze, bigjohnson isnt' very fond of our rights is he? Just that ones that only he gets are what matters. The * with the rest of us. Bigjohnson should run for office. He's got the perfect attitude for the job.

 Man I was just cruisin, but had to log on for this one>>>>>>especially when I saw the list !

Kinda reminds me of a tune from good ole 'Easy Rider' ..role another one, just like the other one....

Most of the machine guns on the list ought to be issued to the Democrats...if they had em , well, we wouldn't have to worry about anything!

a great machine gun......Chauchaut, a great handgun....Liberator. Outside of mentioning the good old BAR....this is the funniest thread I have seen in a while!:banghead::banghead::banghead:

Dunno how I missed this. :) The opening post is more about a legal deal, than a gun deal. And, it's certainly not about any law about which I ever heard, nor about any legislation now contemplated.

Ergo, to wit and therefore, this goose is cooked.
