Good to see you say that - as an ''import'' myself - about to hopefully soon be finally ''on the record'' as a citizen when I go thru the ceremony - I have felt this last five years that I was in a sense, born an American ... and have really just at last managed to come home and relish being such - and with pride.

I was last in Devon County SW UK - from 1978 thru 2000 when I came over to marry a very special lady.

Well, you only beat me by a year. It will be 15 years in a couple of months for me. I didn't get my citizenship until last summer, though.

I hit NJ before Queens and Brooklyn, then moved out to sunny Minnesota for the climate. Now that we have CCW back, I don't plan to move again for a while.

People still ask me if I miss Russia...

What is the PhD in? I'm partial to those with degrees in quantum mechanics, organic chemistry and molecular biology, but entomology and mycology degree will do in a pinch.
