Yes this is one gun that cost a bundle to buy, then would cost a bundle to feed.

I remember seeing one for 14k in 02 and thinking --damn that's an expensive old warhorse. Of course I turned down some pretty nice GI 1911's for $500 then to over the past 10 years guns have appreciated pretty well.

One of the other things I liked about it was the 3 mile MAXIMUM range. Which I would take to mean that most shots, (like you'd take more than one), would be less than that.

Now if they could shorten the barrel and put a quadrail on it they'd have quite the CQB weapon.

Regarding the price, I'm not talking about a ZR1 or ZO6, around here brand new "base" corvettes are going for $38,000. Which do you think is a better investment ?

fallout was the least of the M65 firing crew's problems... the crew was supposed to first dig a safety hole, to escape into to avoid the warhead's BLAST. they were to fire; then jump into their hole, to allow the blast to pass over them. the only US weapon ever considered where the "lethal to the shooter" distance exceeded the maximum range.
