Coolest Guns

The coolest gun I've ever fired was a MK 19. I'd still take a Ma Deuce over it any day of the week if SHTF, but there is something to be said about holding the trigger down and seeing 40 mm high explosive rounds go down range about as fast as you can count them.

The coolest would probably be an StG45:

Runners-up would include a suppressed G36, Browning M2, and Blaser R93. I have hopes of shooting a Pedersen rifle, though, and that might take the cake.

Chinese "Paratrooper" SKS. I have owned more expensive "tacticool" firearms, but the shorty SKS was my favorite. Too bad the darned burglar got it.

I love AR's, Minis, M1As, SKS, AKs, etc. as much as the next guy, but my favorite is the HK MP5K-PDW. High ROF, reliable, accurate, and a very compact package (that you can stick a can on). Oh so sweet. I would sell my soul for one. Well, not mine, but maybe someone else's.

Now in the realm of guns I can afford...SW 500, M1 Carbine, M1 Garand, AR-15 (of course), and my Redhawk .44 mag. All of them are just plain fun.

When I was younger I was obsessed with cowboys...once I shot a lever action 30-30 while wearing my cowboy get up, hat/chaps the whole deal. I was so happy I don't think I will ever beat that.

I'd have to say the little Beretta .25 (popup barrel) back in 1972 (or so) when I was about 12. I was the first handgun I had ever fired. I shot a tin can on a fence post from about 15 yrds. Hit the can dead center, and it went flying. I was amazed and hooked for life. Since then I've shot and owned a bunch of guns. Recently I shot a Desert Eagle 50 AE one handed. That was fun.

I got to shoot a HK-G3 full auto once--That was cool-But every gun I have ever shot was a cool gun!!
I have a TEC-9 that actually works like it should and thats a cool toy to shoot..

I get the most enjoyment out of shooting my Grandfather's Winchester Model 12. He purchased the gun in his late teens and to this day can still take out a woodchuck at 98 years young.

An original, full-auto Thompson from the 40's will always be one of the tops on my list.

Full-auto HK MP5 was fun too.

Does the magazine stick out the right side on that?
It was based of the MG42 design and could be either belt or box fed, so if you were using a mag it would stick out of the side. It was capable of single shots or full auto fire and was lightened to around 10lbs.

They may not be a "cool" as some of the full autos. But I'd rank my old Trapdoors, and 1873 and 1892 Winchesters at the top of my list. There's just nothing to compare it to. Yeah you can get repros, but the repros aren't 100+ years old, and they haven't been through the Indian Wars, etc.

A few years ago I hunted exclusively with the Trapdoors or 1892 Winchester. The .300 Mag never came out of the safe. Most fun I've had hunting in a long time. Last weekend of the season I let a buck walk because I forgot to bring binos with me, and wasn't sure if he was a shooter yet or not. The buck was unmistakable with almost bleached white horns. Well my buddy showed me a picture of it, that night, from a trail camera from earlier that year. I'm still kicking myself. Nice 16"-18" spread with good length. I couldn't see the spread because he was crossing the field and not coming at me. Needless to say, I've been taking the modern weapons ever since.
