I sold mine five yrs ago. STG 58. Reason, i dont need a heavy rifle with a 20 rd mag sticking out. I missed the rifle but didnt regret it. I m sold out to my Garand .

I knew you guys would be too stubborn to ever admit I was right. It says "parts" not ideas. Game. Set. Match. Goodbye.

<deleted> You took what you heard out of context and twisted it, probably by accident because I doubt you own either the FAL or a Galil, or even an AK for that matter. Then you go and tell us how the Galil came to be and you have your facts wrong. No biggie there, everyone makes mistakes. But when other members who are more knowledgeable than you try to tell you you are wrong and WHY you are wrong, you refuse to accept it and realize maybe you misunderstood what you heard on the History Channel. So don't get your panties in a wad because you can't admit you are wrong. Take what these people are saying, do some research, and learn something new. Being wrong doesn't have to be a negative experience but you are making it into one <deleted>, after all is is YOU who is being stubborn here. Have a nice day.

This has been a nice FAL thread. Anybody who has examined a FAL and an AK can form their own opinions on the interchangeability of parts. So, let's just drop it before it kills the thread.

Jeff56, PM sent. Feel free to PM me if you feel offended by my post and we can discuss it outside the thread.

I'd like to see more pictures of members' FALs.

Wow! I think I'm going to "Sticky" this thread in case anyone wants a textbook case of how one or two strident, stubborn, members can kill a good thread, DEAD.

Note the careful avoidance of such phrases as, "I think...," "I believe...," "It appeared to me that...," and "You may be right."
