If it wasn’t for France we would not have a United States now. Please crack a history book if you doubt this...or do a search for Lafayette.

Anyway, I think the French made a very good choice. I think Glock would have been an excellent choice for our troops, but they didn’t win the contract.

Might sound stupid, but what is the "SACO" i kept reading. I saw it on the link Slater sent. Could not figure out which pistol they were talking about.

SACO Defense was the original importer/agent for the P226 when it was submitted for the XM9 trials. The company was later acquired by General Dynamics.
