Lots of best pistol threads on the web but what's the funnest handgun you've shot? It may not be the best or the most expensive but by gush you look forward to shooting it. :)

For me its now my Springfield EMP. Dennis

Kimber Warrior with .22LR upper. This set-up has a light, crisp and consistent trigger. The recoil is near zero. Add on my M6 laser/light and you have a fun-gun!

A buddy has a custom Caspian race gun w/ the compensator & optic on board -- in 38 super...mix in some really hot ammo and the fun ensues

Browning Buckmark. I've owned it for over 20 years, fired tens of thousands of rounds through it, and still love it. 2nd place would be the Super Redhawk 454 with moderate loads.

But I agree with Robt. Garner- they're ALL fun!

Two options:

a) my new Saiga -- the thrill has not yet worn off, in only one brief range session, after all. But, since this is the autoloader's forum, I'll jump to

b) my S&W 625, which, dangit, shoots a cartridge conventionally made for autoloaders :) But I guess I'll be good and suggest it's

c) the Browning BDM, which may not be (mechanically) any more accurate than any of my other guns, but which with the combination of my hand size / posture / familiarity / (whatever) is the most *actually* accurate of my guns, for me.

CZ Kadet. Offhand, I can hit a 12x12 in plate at 80 yards 100% of the time, and pop standing clays at 60 yards.

1911 .45 / S&W Model 33 .38 S&W......at long range.

Boom/POP............................................................................................................................Thud :D

I'd have to say most fun handgun I've ever shot was a .460 S&W Mag w/ an 8" barrel & scope.

I've never seen that much fire in my life. :D

From my personal pistols it'd be either of my .45's (Sig P220, SW1911), with the slight edge going to the 1911.

I think the gun that put the biggest smile on my face was the Smith & Wesson M&P 340 that I foolishly sold about a month ago. Recoil with .38+P rounds was easily manageable and the noise and flame from the .357s was a hoot.

The one gun I like shooting the most (so far) is my Taurus PT145. Soft (but long) trigger pull, decently accurate, and mild recoil with just about any load I've put through it. But I just got a Desert Eagle .44 mag that I'm planning to shoot. I've heard they're a hoot to shoot too :D

The most fun handgun I have is my wife's Phoenix HP22. Accurate as all get out and cheapcheapcheap! I love the disgusted looks we get then it outshoots the high-price spread at the range... I expect my broomhandle Mauser project gun to be a riot too, when I get it into shooting comdition.

The absolute most fun I have ever had shooting a handgun was a "Schnellfeuer" Mauser 96. I don't own it and only got to fire it one afternoon, but it was a LOT of fun.
The one I seem to enjoy most of mine is a S&W 17 6". I can blow through a couple bricks of .22s without breaking the bank, a wrist or an eardrum and it's accuracy is right up there with anything else I own.

Desert Eagle .44 Magnum! - makes the gomers at the range come on over and say "Golly! Whut th' hell's that?" "Ain't never heard a gun that loud..."

and it's very accurate...:D

As much as I hate to say it, I really enjoy emptying a 33 round glock magazine as fast as possible. A buddy and I used to see who could do it the fastest. Complete waste of ammo. An incredibly fun complete waste of ammo.

either one of the two SKS's we have are good for fun.. Im rural and in the hills so I can go out to my back yard and send a few down range.

I might go warm one up today infact.. its the 4th!
