I picked the g-20 up last week. I have recieved my dies and bullets. My next concern was the brass-well last night on Auction Arms my bid of $23 won the 500 peices of 10mm brass.Happy Happy. Then today at lunch, I decided to go check out one of our pawn shops. I noticed behind the gun counter several bags of Ga arms bullets. The clerk saw me look at them and said the're 10mm do you want them? Of course I answered yes, but all I had was a $20 on me-done deal-6 bags of 155g Gold Dots-300 of them:) So hows your day going?

My fortune cookie says-You will be blasting 10mm's at range this weekend-Grasshopper.

Glock sometimes have oversized chambers and not that great for reloading. Examine your brass carefully or get somebody who knows what to look for if you aren't sure.

Happy shooting!

Congrats.

As far as ammo goes, you should be fine w/ the G.A. stuff. I'm on my third case, including the 155gn and 180gn GDHPs. No problems in my G-20.

Now, if you're going to do extensive reloading, I'd recommend a KKM or Federal Arms "drop-in" 10mm barrel to eliminate any worry about loose-chamber tolerances or using lead bullets.

Have fun. :)

Thoughts on...

... the Fed Arms barrels.

agtman,

Whats you take on the Fed Arms barrels in general? Obviously, I ask as I have no experience with them personally, nor do I know anyone that's using them now or have used them in the past.

From the "range reasoning" that I've gathered from multiple other fellow shooters, the general take on non-factory replacement barrels is BarSto 1st, Jarvis or KKM 2nd and everything else comes after these choices.

Any feedback is appreciated!

I suggested a Fed Arms or KKM barrel for his G-20 because that seems to be the "consensus of satisfaction" of GT's 10Ringers who've bought an aftermarket barrel. I have a F.A.'s barrel in .40 and it shoots fine. Those who shoot hot 10mm reloads, like MCNETT, seem to like KKM. (Dad-Gummit should probably do a Search on the 10Ring to get a range of the opinions).

BarSto's are nice, and I've bought a couple of their barrels for other guns over the years but they're also pricey. (I haven't seen as much on Jarvis).

:)

Congratulations! I hope that you bought some lottery tickets. As far as pressure signs are concerned, use the Water's Pressure Ring method for best results. www.glockfaq.com
