So, I figured out why my scores are so bad.

I added up the area of all the black on this target. 20.78 square inches.

A single 6" bull is 28.27 square inches. There is lots more area to hit.

A single 7" bull is 38.48 square inches. the area increases by pi times the square of the radius. Not linear.

The 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper it's printed on is 93.5 sq. inches. The black isn't even a quarter of the sheet and it's not concentrated like usual.

This is a hard one.

I just got back from the range...after making several practice runs I shot the target for score. I was really glad that no one was watching over my shoulder...this was tough! That little circle at "I" darn near disappeared at 10 yards!

Here's what I ended up with:

Thanks to photo_guy for the spreadsheet -- very clever! I'll use those tricks on some other projects in the future!

I'm glad to see that the THR members are open about their shooting...I hadn't checked the posted scores before I shot and I figured I would be one of the few that didn't score 99. Integrity is high here on THR!!

This was my first virtual match -- but I'll be back for more. Thanks to everyone for putting it together!
