Very nice.
Wonder why my distant kin sold up?
Lots of mergers and buyouts in those small companies.

A friend has a P. Webley .450 BPE. Surprisingly for its age, it has steel barrels... with Alex Henry rifling and Henry numbers.
He has not found an equivalent of the load it is regulated for, I would not count on the second shot if much farther than 60 yards.

My suggestion to your friend if he wants to find a smokeless equivalent regulation load or a BP regulation load to contact Cal Pappas here. It might need to be re wedged and ribbed.

Natman, to be fair there will be fresh handloads in the other pocket. I hunt and guide Grizzly / Brown bears on the coast as half my living, so pretty comfortable with it. The historical intrigue of taking one of the last iconic big game animals a batch of that old Kynoch will ever take pulls at me. We get muzzle loader hunters on the North Pacific Coast and it rains most of the time, even the ancient Kynoch's better than that.

H&H I have to agree with you, an acquaintance uses a CB Vaughan .470 and has rattled it against all sorts of horns and tusks. It's my understanding they were Webleys finished by the Birmingham tradesmen. Proper working rifles.

Sage, that's an interesting experience, believe it or not have never seen the movie!

Rick I can't imagine having 200 Winchesters... Let alone H&H's!
