The Horror! A field full of rusted guns

I posted the link on another site where lots of guys who have "been there" hang out. One says the photos were taken in the 80's in Vietnam. The "junk" was stacked outside as you saw, and the new weapons were kept in the sheds in the background. I think Vietnam is likely, it would explain the large number of US arms and also the mix of foreign weapons. The Russians and Chinese were both supplying the North Vietnamese with whatever they could get their hands on.

A few years back I happened to stop up at Oyster Bay Armaments in NY. Got to talking with the owner and he told me about going over to Europe and buying up military "stuff" at closed military bases. Talked about spending a few days getting a Sherman tank running, finding German 88's in Portugal, and having skids of new Thompsons, Stens, Uzis, etc at a rented hanger on an ex-military airfield in Great Britain. Seeing the stuff he had hanging on his walls I didn't have any reason to dis-believe him. But whoever OKed this stupidity needs to be removed from the gene pool. I suspect it's in Yugo as I remember reading somewhere about bunker-fulls of like new old weapons being found and destroyed.:banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :cuss: :cuss: :cuss:

Gives me that sick feeling like when I watched the concentration camp episode in BoB.

:barf:

Just plain nasty. :fire:

Anybody want to suggest a good name for our ship? It can be a smuggler theme or a pirate theme.
GUNRUNR

OK, so that kinda gives it away, but i saw it on a tag at the range one day and thought it was pretty cool, so it just came to mind.
