Hello all, I recently purchased a Kel Tec P11.

Last Sunday went out to the range to put some rounds through it. Kel Tec suggests about 150 rounds before shooting hollow point ammo.

I have to admit the P11 is not the most pleasurable pistol to shoot, but I was not expecting so. There is quite a bit of recoil from the 14oz pistol.

Any rate after I shot the little pistol I an in need of a sight adjustment. How does one adjust the sights on a P11? I looked through the manual and they do not tell you how to do it.

Thanks.

odds are your shooting low and left if you are right handed correct?

and low and right if you are left handed...

if that is the case the odds are not in favor of the sights being off but of your ability to pull the trigger without moving the gun..

in your defense the trigger pull on that gun is a bear!

it will just take practice and a steady work out of your trigger finger!

gl!

dont worry buddy your finger will get used to it...

the secret is pull the trigger so slowly that you dont know when the gun will actually discharge.. and im talkin slow!

dont worry about speed in the beginning as your body learns more and more it will do it all by itself!

The rear sight can be drifted (with a punch or sight pusher) left or right for windage adjustments. To make elevation changes; Kel-Tec sells a kit with different height front and rear sights.
Bullet impact follows rear sight movement (I.E. move it left, impact moves left; raise it, impact goes up).
The opposite is true of the front sight (I.E. move it left, impact moves right; make it taller, impact is lowered).

Greg

it is true you can always adjust sights (however) if you adjust a sight based on your manipulation of the trigger instead of the sights actually being off (which does happen every once in awhile) you will find it a hazard as it may work for you at a specific distance but be way off at a different distance (so if your defending your life at multiple ranges then you will have no idea where your bullets are actually going!

but yes you can manipulate most sights

just please make sure that its not you before you go fixing something that isnt broken !

ps im not trying to be negative its just very important to learn how to manipulate your trigger as its the 2nd most important part of being accurate with your firearm the first is understanding how the sights work of course !

You can drift the rear sight for windage, but to adjust elevation, you have to use "Kentucky" elevation or get a sight set from Kel-Tec. We have 2 P-11's (my wife and I) and both are spot-on 30ft, however on a good day, I can squeak out 10 shot 10" groups at 25yds with mine. Wifey won't try at that range.

I always wait about a month after I get a new gun before I decide to move the sights. So far it has always ended up being me not used to the gun's trigger yet.
