The legality of the CZ vz. 61 Skorpion in CT?

None of the parts are interchangeable. The Scarab was more like a Mac-Clone that looked like the CZ gun. The Scarab was in 9mm.

I was asking out of curiosity:

Ask the CTSP.

I always prefer asking through proxy when I can avoid speaking to someone directly. I was just wondering if anyone knew because I have a fetish for .32 ACP.

Far as I know, they're legal. I don't know anything about the Scarab Skorpion, so I have no idea if it's due to the name game, or whether it's lack of interchangeable parts....my father picked one up recently though, and it's definitly a fun little gun to have.

I DO wish folks would stop advising this.

The police are allowed to lie to you, either from intent or ignorance.

Your better advice would be to contact the prosecuting attorneys office where you live, or consult a lawyer.

They will take care of your questions...contrary to popular belief.

No. The Scarab was basically a Tec-9 clone dressed up like with CZ. It was 9mm, and I think it took Uzi mags.

Can't say for sure, but there was a select fire SMG called the Skorpion. From the rest of the list it would seem this is what was banned, not the .32 ACP pistols.

If I recall correctly the Scarab Skorpion was designed and marketed by a couple of clowns from Florida, or at least that's where I saw a big marketing table featuring that gun at a show in Miami back in the late '80s.
