The legality of the CZ vz. 61 Skorpion in CT?

A pistol referred to as the "Scarab Skorpion" is banned. Does anyone know if that by extension bans the unrelated CZ vz. 61?

None of the parts are interchangeable. The Scarab was more like a Mac-Clone that looked like the CZ gun. The Scarab was in 9mm.

Far as I know, they're legal. I don't know anything about the Scarab Skorpion, so I have no idea if it's due to the name game, or whether it's lack of interchangeable parts....my father picked one up recently though, and it's definitly a fun little gun to have.

The Special License and Firearms Unit (SLFU) is responsible for the issuance of state pistol permits, oversight and regulation of firearm sale transactions, and issuance of licenses to professional bail bondsman, private security companies, private investigators, and bail enforcement agents (BEA).

The unit is located at Connecticut State Police Headquarters in Middletown, CT. We also have a satellite office at Troop G in Bridgeport to process pistol permit applications and renewal paperwork.

The unit is also responsible for investigating violations of state law relating to the purchase, sale and transfer of firearms, and violations of statutes relating to the various professional licenses it issues

No. The Scarab was basically a Tec-9 clone dressed up like with CZ. It was 9mm, and I think it took Uzi mags.

Can't say for sure, but there was a select fire SMG called the Skorpion. From the rest of the list it would seem this is what was banned, not the .32 ACP pistols.

If I recall correctly the Scarab Skorpion was designed and marketed by a couple of clowns from Florida, or at least that's where I saw a big marketing table featuring that gun at a show in Miami back in the late '80s.
