The list of "needs/wants" keeps growing! What's on yours?

Several gallons of chlorine bleach.

Or whatever the heck else would be effective to keep ebola out of my house!

Since it's spread by direct contact with bodily fluids, I'm thinking bullets are just as effective as bleach in the event of a pandemic. Big sign in the front yard: "we're staying in to keep alive, and you're staying out if you want to remain that way"

Better do a spanish subtext, too.

The only gun I am looking for (and have been for over 2 years) is a Marlin 1894 in .357 Magnum.

New ones are scarcer than .22LR ammo and several dealers claim that these so-called "Remlins" (Marlins made by Remington!) are know to have feeding problems.

Older guns for sale on auction sites (like gunbroker) are all too frequently going for slightly over MSRP new (~$700) to as much as $1,800 !! :what:

I'm keeping an eye out for a '94 Win .30-30. Particularly a pre-'64 model.
Also an affordable old Win mod 12, 12ga. I thought I found one yesterday at my LGS, but it was a 16ga. Probably should have bought it anyway.

There's will probably always be something that I want, be it vintage or new. Have most of my needs filled so any new addition would have to be something interesting that catches my eye or a deal I just can't pass up.

I need time to shoot the guns I have. Also need more money to feed them when I do manage time for a range trip. If I brought home another long gun, I would need a second safe. That would mean I need more floor space...and that 'aint happ'nin!.

Boy, there are SO many things I want... I think y the top of the list is a 357 lever action to go with the Ruger new model Blackhawk... and a 308 ar, and a 6.5 Swedish to hack up and make into a deer rifle for my girl!

I figure I only "need" one gun, since my main purpose for having firearms is self-protection. For that I would rely on a S&W 642.

I have everything else I "need": a HD shotgun, AR, K-frame, L-frame, and two .22LR rifles.

I wanted a Colt WWI repro, a Colt SAA and a Colt blackpowder pistol, so I bought them. I also have a Browning HP, a .22LR pistol and a turkey gun.

What do I "want"? A Russian SKS interests me now, and a S&W 617-4 (no lock, 4" barrel)

Already I don't shoot/hunt as often as I'd like to, so buying another firearm to clean and polish and keep ammo for does not really interest me.

Lever action of some sort (eventually), and at the moment a Manurhin MR 73 revolver (police trade-in, since I'm not made of money). After acquiring my long-wanted Mateba 6 Unica, I've finally achieved a sense of 'zen' I haven't had with regards to guns since I bought my first pistol, rifle, and shotgun. I thought I was done then, but of course I wasn't, and I don't think I am now, either. But, 'the list' gets to take a bit of a break for the time being

Waldo, I think I would develop a need for one really quick were I in your shoes!

Wants: 10/22 Takedown, AR, Colt SAA, wife to understand why I already have so many guns, but still want more.

I just got into or well back into shooting so I'm still filling the needs list, And right now it's a Mossberg 500 combo

I have a constantly running list in the back of my head, or needs, "needs" and wants ;)

Right now, a Marlin Guide gun and a bolt rifle in either 6.5x55 or one of the 7mm magnums, and an Alexander Arms "Overwatch" upper are at the top of the list, along with a Ruger Redhawk.

But I shot an Appleseed over the weekend, and one of the instructors was shooting his m1, which I've wanted ever since I saw Jaws, so I'm thinking that might move to the top of the list

My Fatboy Jr. safe is bulging pretty good as it is. I covered my needs long ago but I have been rethinking my HD situation. I've been using shotguns since I moved out of dad's house (and he used shotguns for the same role). Come to think of it dad gave me my first HD shotgun. I gave it to my daughter.

I've held onto my SKS as a primary rural HD battle carbine but I've been thinking about going over to the AR side. Prices are nowhere near as disparate as they were when I first got my SKS. It was a ratio of about 15:1 to get an AR compared to an SKS back then. Ammo was also ridiculously cheap and I still have plenty of it that I bought way back when. I just hope my boat doesn't sink.

But with the AR becoming safer than other firearms "if" you use the right ammo I have been thinking about finally getting one. I just never saw a good reason to try to replace my SKS considering how reliable it is and how much ammo I have. Now I see a reason.

Once you have A gun, Im a believer that everything else is on the want list. lol, you could defend your home with a hunting rifle. And you could kill a bear with a single action .22 revolver. Once you have 1 gun, you could do anything with it. Not that it would be smart or ethical, but effectively that puts the rest of them on the want list. My want list is long btw.
