i looked at a used mak90 at the shop today, price on it was 300... good/bad???

when i pulled out the bolt carrier it looked like the gas piston wasn't seated in the carrier, where they connect there was a gap... does that make sense?? where the piston curves out flush with the carrier, it looked like it was backed out or something... is that normal?? i couldn't see that it was pinned, but it was pretty dirty, and i couldn't turn it by hand...

what do you think??

For that price I would walk away, I bought mine here in Kali when they were going for $150. You can probably find a better deal on Guns America or Gun Broker.

It's supposed to be that way. There is a pin that actually connects the two semi-permanently. All my MAK-90 pistons wiggle.

That's a pretty good price for a 95% MAK-90 in a store. If you like it, you can buy a good US parts set for it and thread the barrel. Most MAK-90's have a .550" muzzle which is perfect for threading 14mm x 1 LH with a "Thread Adapter Tool" that you can rent from people on www.ar15.com if you like. Have a blast.
