Anyone own a firearm in this caliber? How hard is it to find the ammo compared to 10mm and .357 sig? I hear it's about $1 per round when you do find it!!!

...but I hear it's about $1.50 a round, and you sure won't find it at Wal-mart.
Looks like .50AE is either special order stuff, or you gotta find a gunshop owner that likes you lots.

I own a DE .50AE. My local gunshop carries the rounds for it. Its not a popular round around here so its always on the shelf. I can buy "Independence" FMJ 300grn. $32 for a box of 50.
In my honest opinion, these guns are just for bragging rights amungst the "gun" nuts. My Taurus 44 is just as accurate, a whole lot cheaper to A.)Purchase B.) Keep supplied with ammo c.)Maintain
Dont get me wrong though, It is a great gun! Just a little inpractical for about 98%? of "us"!
It is really accurate though, which is why many people use them (DE in .357,.44.,.50AE) for sillhouette matches.
