The must-have gun to have in .40

Call me crazy but the Sigma SW40VE, I love my 9mm but have since went to a 3rd gen S&W for that role. I would love to have another Sigma.

My friend has a surplus Atlanta PD 4006 and I really like the way it handles and shoots. I tried a Sigma 40 and it really turned me off to the .40 in a poly gun. That is until I took a chance and bought a Steyr M40. I gotta say that gun shoots wonderfully, has little recoil and is a natural pointer for me. I find it easy to conceal as well and am carrying it more and more.
