Hey guys, Sarduy here,

just wanted to share with you that up to this point I’ve had many knives before but never ever given them much though. To me a knife was a knife and it needed to cut, stab and sometimes even hammer stuff. I carried a Kershaw Freefall for many many years until it was lost in a kayaking trip. Then went to Walmart and bought a Kershaw Hotwire because I needed a lightweight knife until I could find another Freefall. Long story short I found one and it arrived the other day but then I found this $6.00 fixed blade at Walmart in the camping area and brought two, one for me and one for my wife to keep in the car just in case.

she liked the Kershaw Hotwire since it fits her small hand and it’s super lightweight so that’s her knife now. As for me, i will continue to carry my old trusty Kershaw Freefall.

anyways, now that I have found more appreciation for it, here some pictures of the knifes :D

I like the free fall, good looking knife, how is the feel in your hand? I have large hands, so I like folding knives that are a bit bigger.

I've carried a Blur for years and it's the smallest folder that I want to carry. Any smaller and they make me fumble to get a good hold of them.

Is it assisted, auto or regular folding type? Would you buy another one if you lost it? Thanks for any info.

I’m going to do something for you that I wish someone had done for me. Never read this forum again. Just go now and never come back. Don’t look at posts by hso, in particular. Your pocketbook and family will thank me later!!

I’m only kind of kidding… This hobby is way more addictive and expensive than I ever imagined!

The handle is contoured to fit the palm and is partially embossed with Kershaw’s new K-Texture™ grip for an extra secure hold. The backspacer has a built-in lanyard hole that's wide enough to accommodate thicker lanyards.

I noticed your signature. Are you aware that none of the knives in your post are made in the USA?

Kershaw has knives made in the USA and abroad. If the company keeps a tight rein on who's making it, what does it matter?

Plenty of guys here buy knives made in other countries to include China. If you have an ussue with it, don't buy from them.

We have a global economy and a lot of things are made in different countries. So it's hard to avoid buying things solely made in America.

For people that have an issue with it, take it up with the companies that make them. Better yet, complain to the government as they're the number one cause of it.

I don't like it anymore than other people do but there's no avoiding it. Our government is to blame for jobs being outsourced. Companies took advantage of the .gov allowing it and they maximize their profits.

Yes it is a world economy. I do buy things from all over the world. I do however look for things made in the US first and then for things made in countries that don't hate us. I have a single Kershaw. It like it. And watch for HSO, he encourages things.
