Armsel Striker, High Standard and Mossberg bullpup, Mossberg 9200a1 Jungle gun...insert other gun of your choice here.

Were any of these weapons ever actually and purchased on any level by LE Deptmnts or Military units at any time?

What are the chances we see either a rehash of these designs, bullpup namely, or a new design of that type in any afforadable, widely-available incarnation any time in the enxt 5-10 years?

Slim to no chance you will ever see the likes of the Striker again.

Those types of shotguns were labelled as a destructive device under the National Firearms Act with no sporting purpose by the U.S. Justice Department's Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).

Unless Mr. Obama strikes down the law, there will be no more, ever again.

Mossberg 9200a1 Jungle gun?
That seems to be well covered by the more modern Mossberg 930.

The High-Standard Bullpup was used to some extent by law enforcement, but it never really had a very large part of the LOE market owned by the Remington 870.
Because it just wasn't as good in several respects.

Look up the Neostead 2000, reverse pump action with two magazine tubes on top of the gun and its a bullpup.

I have a Striker. Even without being ruled a destructive device, it never would have been a major seller. There are a couple things it does better than more conventional designs. In most ways it is inferior.

USAS-12 I had one but had to sell it as they were reclassified as DDs:fire:

EDIT --- they were made by Daewoo in Korea and I seen vids of ROCs useing them in full auto !!!

They had very light recoil BUT were twice as heavy as my Saiga S-12.

Most of the oddities remained oddities for a reason, however I'm interested in seeing what becomes of the SRM-1216, the Monolith P-12 and the rumored 12 gauge AR variant that somebodies appearantly making.

the SRM-12 seems to have disappaired. I have not seen much about it since SHOT in 2008. But it looks like they will be released next year, maybe late this year.

I handled it a SHOT 08. Intetresting design.

The Monolith P-12 also seems to have gone poof. I can't even seem to pull up photos of it anymore.

I talked with Mr. Stead a few times and others about the Neostead shotgun. It's not that they are illegal in the US, but rather they are not importable. They can be made in the US which I have looked into, but don't seem to be viable. They have a limited market and that would require some good capital to get off the ground. If I had the capital, a quality machine shop and some skill I could get them into low rate "custom" production preety quick and easy. AFTER I spend some time with lawers and the ATF to make sure I don't get the rug pulled out from under me.

That said it would be more a collectors gun I believe, very expansive and heavy. Still I would like to take it on some day, even if it's just to do a small collectors run of 100.

I honestly don't know why a bullpup design isn't out there. I've never used one but there doesn't seem to be a whole bunch to it? It definitely saves space. And if the cheek weld is bad, it'd be one of those rare circumstances where I'd advocate/opt for an optic.
