Ah ... It's conclusive proof that we all belong on the funny farm. Who would have thought that a genuine one-piece, all-steel Colt 1911 trigger could have caused this.

Must have been the southern fried apple pie ....:D

Because in my hot little hand there is - - a genuine Colt model 1911 (not 1911-A1) trigger!! You know, like they made during the “war to end all wars,†and before.

What ever happened to that trigger, we got all discombooblerated with iron skillets, slides, S&W revolvers, Coffee, fried apple pies, accents, Wimmin and other things.

SOB !!!

That smooth-talking Tuner talked me out of it, and it's now in his hot little hands. I think he plans to put it into a genuine, all-steel, Colt 1911 pistol.

Taken To The Cleaners Again Old Fuff. :D

Tell ya what I gonna do – I like you guys ™

I gots a Keltec P-11, Extra mags with Gold Dots 124 gr +P .

I swap you this here Keltec for that Gummit model ,with that there trigger that started this whole mess- USGI mags and hardball.

Even Swap!

Now hold up - I know your all excited, the thought of no Smithin', no way to mess up stock screws, getting the stocks all scratched up, lighter weight so your britches don't get pulled down, that safety and grip safety not on a gun, highter mag capacity...heck even got the 3 wittle white dots on the sights...

Only ‘cause I like you – ya understand ™ ?

Fuff- Remember what Tuner said back on page 1
I'll cook your supper and have it Fed-Exed next day delivery and pay
a fancy gourmet chef to come to your house to re-heat it and serve it
up...
A deal's a deal...........

Pictures! Pictures! Pictures!

WHERE ARE ALL THE PICTURES!!!!!! We want to see the chef and the trigger! And whatever else it was that was related to this thread. :neener:

Gus

PS I just got a Keltec P11. I'll probably be going to shop it on Sat. I can't wait.

Gus -

Congrats on another new gun! May I suggest you try the extension for the mag. Some folks find this gives them a better grip, gun fit. Of you know this will make the gun a little "bigger" as far as concealment is concerned. Try it shooting and concealed to see what works best for you...

That is the ONLY thing I have for mine as far as "stuff" on the gun. I don't do the Clip , I don't do the trigger dealie. Less is more IMO.

See "poor old" Tuner doesn't have that option with that Gummit model - just trying to help a feller out...

shush - work with me here... ;)

Steve

we want pictures

Tuner, after 6 months and all that fuss I for one would like to see pictures of "that 1911 trigger" and maybe even video of Turbo-Polly, the dog built for speed.

sm-with the mag extension it is uncomfortable in my hands. I have small hands and the extra length feels funny. Right now it is a perfect fit.

Gus

Gus -

You are sharp lady!

I am big on gun fit to shooter. Many folks with the Keltec P-11 and similar Glock 26 have a better fit without the mag extension. Not to mention the concealment is better for the gun and spare mags without it.

I believe in "Less is More".

Tuner ain't listening tho'. :D

Wouldn't want to give that Daddy of yours a big head or nothing by saying he raised you right or anything. [ Us "kids" do have to stick together - right? ]

Hey Brian :neener:

This thing still here? :what:

Dang. I'll second (or third, whatever) the pics request.

As to "Less is more" are we talking guns, triggers, women, or food?
I kinda got lost after all this time.

Smoke

Re: Less is More...

Smoke -

Old buddy old pal , I hate to break it to you this way...You Are Married...Go ask the Wife what that means...then go ask your kids...

Tip : usually best to bribe the kids to get the answers you want to hear...

Don't ask me about wives, I know a "few" things about guns...I flunked "Wives 101" and "Wives 102 " :D

I aced all the "Kid" courses though...

They ever offer a "Kids and Guns 101" ...I might do okay in that one.... :p

I bet

Tuner is in the Dog House.

Old Fuff probably sent that trigger wrapped in a picture of Gina Lollabrigada and Mrs. Tuner found it...Tuner...Tuner ...

His Collies must not have Internet connections in their dog house... :p

Oh where to start. I just spent the better part of 2 hours reading the previous 13 pages, pretty good readin.

Darn you SM: If the outside world wasn't iced over I'd be shopping for some cast iron and entertain myself in the ol' kitchen.

I'm a youngun but would like an honorary induction into the "refined club". However in my youthful ignorance I got one of them there MIM infested rascals.

Goin for me I have a good ole Border Collie asleep on the bed and a nice leather rig for my rascal.

I dont think I can swing a 1914 edition how about I start trading out the MIM on the one I got, will that get me in? Purdy please with cinnamon on a fried pie.

Less can be more.

More food.
More of ONE woman.
More gun.
More ammo.
More kids.
More pay.

All good.

Less gun with more power THAT FITS the shooter.
Less of lotsa women.
Less weight gain.
Less aging.
Less work.

Also all good.

Can't wait to go shooting(sorry couldn't spell in last post.) I love to carry the P11. When I bought it I also bought a NICE holster and an extra mag(shhh Jon knows, but not how much they cost. I think I have him convinced that when you buy a carry gun you go all out and get all that right at the start  :neener: .)

Gotta love this thread. Ya know I don't come in this part unless this thread is going.

Also I got a Lodge and seasoned it, but haven't had the chance to really use it. :uhoh: :( My next big cooking thing will be some fried pies.

Gus

Gus' fried pies.

Maa'm waaay back on page something-or-other it was mentioned that the pies had to be crimped. Do you plan on using a taper crimp or a roll crimp?

salty.

I was thinking...

[ everyone runs and hides]

...this thread would make a great Action Movie. :D

Folks Just Thought the Blues Bros wrecked havoc and mayhem...they ain't seen nuttin' yet. :D

Starts with a "innocent" package - the trigger.

Then all sorts of RKBA, Positive portrayal of Gun owners from all walks of life ( what an understatement), Humor , action, sentimental scenes, sex, ( the pictures) fried pies and what a sound track.

I got one more 1914 Trigger - and I 'm not gonna let it go..oh no no no Using the Allman's Bros ....song, second verse sub the trigger for a fried pie, the 3rd a cast iron skillet...

Dunno who could the play part of Smoke or myself...we will be the guys keeping stuff stirred up "in our own way". :p

From running the backroads to showing Gus how to make them pies...Smoke...Smoke - dat boy is in there looking at Brian's reloading set up...( he got any 45ACP loaded up Smoke?) :D
