Hey gang the results of my poll to see which gun would replace my Para P10-40 are in. I am a man of my word, and you guys picked the gun(s)!

24% said to get the Glock G26
20% said to get one of the Kahrs
18% said to get the CZ RAMI.
and
21% said to keep the Para AND get one of the guns on the list

So, here is what I did...long story, sorry

When I went to grab the case for my Para P10-40 to take to the gun shop, I opened it up to put the gun inside and lo and behold what did I find? The original grips. When I purchased the gun, it had the wrap around Hogue grips with the finger rests. I COMPLETELY forgot that the seller had included the "stock" grips. I left the Hogue grips on for controlability and added Pierce pinky extentions for the mags (I have large hands). One of the reasons I was thinking of trading it was because of the width, it seems to print more than I would like sometimes. This is how I have been carrying it. (before I put the Pierce extention on).

I was curious to see how much thinner the Para was with the original grips so I put them on. WOW what a difference. The gun feels much thinner and the pierce extentions help me feel like I have a good grip on the gun even without the Hogue grips. Here are 2 pictures where you can see how much thinner the gun is with the original grips.

So I took the Para to my local shop anyway thinking I may trade it in for the RAMI. They offered me a fair trade in value. I asked to see the RAMI again and compared it to my P10-40, now with the ORIGINAL grips on it. Wouldn't you know it, the guns are almost IDENTICAL in size and weight (unloaded). In fact I think the Para might be a little bit smaller.:D So, all things now being equal, I decided to keep the Para (which is a .40) and buy the CZ RAMI (9mm) anyway, I could not pass up on the price. It came with the original box, 2 mags, cleaning tools and factory test target. It is an easy 98-99% gun. My wife held the RAMI at a gun show and really liked it, so it will probably turn out to be her new carry piece since I kept the Para (for now  ) PLUS, I like the fact that the RAMI is DA/SA, my wife will be more comfortable with it, and it gives me a different option if I don't feel like carrying cocked and locked for some reason. The Para obviously is SA only. Here is my new little friend.

But the story doesn't end there.

While I was in the store, someone was looking at the Glock G26 I was thinking about as well. The guy said he would come back later to buy it but he did not want the salesman to hold it for him. Soooooo after he left I grabbed it and put it on layaway (I want to hit the Saxet show before I buy it outright, might be able to get a new one for a similar price.)

But thats not all....

I then asked to see the stainless Kahr K9 again and I really like the gun...different from the others, stainless, single stack, much thinner...sooooo I put that one on layaway as well (for the same reason as the Glock, want to hit the show at the end of the month).

I have bought many guns at this shop so all I have to do is call him to remove the guns from layaway if I choose not to purchase them and he will apply the deposits I left toward in store purchases (ammo, holsters etc). Can't lose deal!

So thats it!

Thanks again to all that voted and replied!

You guys just helped me spend potentially $1350.00+tax! I hope you are happy with yourselves! :neener:

How's your wife's new car?

Funny you should ask!

Just bought her a nice new 2006 Saab 9-3 convertible 3 months ago.

She has her toy so I can have mine!

(With the money she has spent on shoes I could by 50 guns so she is still winning)
