I called Ruger about a year ago just to see if they had spare nipples. They said they had them, and I thought great, they always will. Looks like I should have bought a spare set.
I've been wanting to put different grips on the adjustable sight "shooter" for some time. Carved ivory would have been great a century ago. Molded plastic just doesn't do it for me. I think stag, ebony or vulcanized rubber would be neat. Ebony with a checkered diamond would have me drooling... Local mountain mahogany would be pretty cool as well. ClemBert, where did you score the dark wood grips on your non-shooter?
As far as overall looks go, the polished fixed sight model (either barrel length) with the sexy top strap is hard to beat.
