I have a Savage Model 11 in .243 I bought for my son, and a Savage Model 99C that was my wife's grandfather's gun. They are both great rifles.

As long as everyone is posting target pics. This is 100 yards with my .223 Axis (not in a rest, just bipod) using cheap Federal value pack from Walmart. Tried some $1.00 round Hornaday and got the same results so I stick to the cheap Federal.

I Have been a 700 guy and never owned a Savage, but I am thinking about a Model 14 American Classic in 22-250. Damn good looking rifle....does anyone here have one and can you tell me about it?

Hintom03 why not a 243? The 22.250 will not shoot a heavy bullet! the 243 can shoot up to 100+ and as low as 55gr it will use a bout 1gr more powder and that is a very accurate round. I have both and do NOT use the 22.250 very much. Looking to trade for a 243 in a Savage the 22.250 is a 700 REN Gun ammo and dies all go.

I've got just a few Savage's.

Love my Savage MKII FV .22LR. Got a BSA Sweet .22 scope atop of her. Only spent $200 on the rifle and easily outshot my buddy's $500 Ruger 10/22

And a couple more-

110FLP-300WM,Choate Ultimate Varminter stock,SSS trigger,EGW 1pc base,Burris Signature Zee rings,Sightron SIII 6-24x50 MOA-2 scope.
(pic is old,and needs to be updated with changes made to rifle)

I also have a 93GL 22WMR but no pics,I'm in the process of installing a Green Mountain stainless fluted bull barrel for a Ruger 77/22 on this rifle since savage wouldn't put a heavy barrel on one for me.

savage 22

no pictures but have a MK2 BTVLSS,tasco 6x24 scope, weaver rings. best asprin rifle I have. buddy has same rifle in left hand and we can not tell them apart by looking at targets.
we are now shooting at life savers. can tell requick when you miss hole.
useing cheap fed bulk ammo

AABEN: I have a 243, a 250 Savage and a 25.06; what I am looking for is a light weight compliment to my varmit weight 700 in 22-250. Not sure why since I also have a 22 hornet and 223; but I am sure every gun owner at some point just says I want one because I want one.

I do love my 243 though.

Picked up a NIB 11/111 FCNS 300 WIN MAG today. Based on the manual the bolt should come locked/firing pin retracted. When I removed it from the plastic bag after reading the installation instructions this was definitely not the case. Considering how difficult it was to pull back and rotate into place hard to believe it happened during shipping since there was no damage to the box or gun.

Looking forward to getting it out to the range - first non milsurp bolt action in the collection.

I have an Savage '99 in the .300 caliber, and one in the ever popular .250 caliber. Will try to get photos up soon, can't get camera to cooperate.

the Burris XTR rings and Bushnell Elite 4200 3-12x44 FFP scope have been replaced with a SWFA SS 5-20x50 in Seekins rings since the picture was taken.

I don't have anything pic-worthy, but I do have a model 24 in .22/410 and a .243.

I like 'em both.

12FV 223 Rem in B&C A2 Medalist stock; scope was a Elite 4200 8-32x40 which has since been replaced with a 6-18x40 Buckmaster.

5 shots @ 100yd with this mediocre shooter and no breakfast except for 3 cups of coffee...75gr Hornady HPBT and 24.0gr Varget

No pictures yet of my 10FP...currently with a 26" SS Criterion 260 Rem barrel and 4200 Tactical 6-24x50 FFP in another A2 Medalist, which will soon (whenever the Brown Santa arrives) be replaced with a Manners T2 and CDI DBM.

Also have an older 110 flat-back action in the safe with a Boyd Ross FT stock; recently traded for a long-action .378 bolt head and am thinking about getting a 223 sporter barrel and a single-shot follower and making it into a walking varminter. Or, buying a .473 bolt head and turning it into a 284. Possibilities...

It's currently without glass because that Barska sucked too bad to even leave mounted. I'm strongly considering a SS 10X for it.

Definately seeing some nice Savages in here. I'm going to be upgrading mine, rebarreling it to .308, or if I can figure out how to change the blind mag, to 7.92x57, and putting it in one of my stock designs. Got some thinking to do.

Finally got some pics uploaded.

11F (and a bunch more letters I can't remember), Nikon Prostaff (I might be changing that out, though), and a large Alice pack. During my Coues whitetail hunt.

:) This is my new Savage M12 BVSS in .223. It has a EGW scope mount with Burris Signature Zee rings and a Bushnell Elite 4200 6-24X40 scope. I am going to the range Monday and see if it will shoot. Don
