The smallest of differences. But they feel so good.

So today I modified my Glock 26 in exactly the same way I modified my LCR. I painted the front sight a bright and garish yellow. For some reason my shooting really improves with just that very tiny difference in sight picture. And I do mean massively.

Is there any other small things like that, that you folks have done to your guns that for some reason make a huge difference? Because so far I haven't seen a single gun other than my own that have a painted front sight.

Putting a "Glock sock" on a Glock improved my grip 110% and now all my autos have "Glock socks", even the Ruger MKII:D.

The best part of it all..."Glock socks" are FREE:what:

Note: a "Glock sock" is just a piece of bicycle inner tube, free from the local bike shop.

Painted sights are fine on SD guns I guess.

Not so much on target guns.

They reflect light from the side far worse then matte black sights, making you center the front sight off-center.
And you will find your group moves with the sun all day. Or even if a cloud comes over.

Bullseye target shooters blacken & dull their sights with carbide lamp smoke for that reason.

I stuck a trigger shoe on one of my guns, and it made a huge difference in comfort. They're cheap and are made for a lot of models. I think they'd make certain molded holsters unsafe to use, though.

I like to add a Tyler T-Grip adapter to my S&W J frame snubbies. Just enough grip without being too large for concealment. I also like to use Pachmayr grips on my M1911 type guns, but I always remove the center grip section on them. Makes the grips feel less bulky in my hand.

Not a fan of the T-Grip, tbh. I was thinking my next investment would be a smooth but still stock-esque Glock trigger. I don't like serrated triggers.
