bannockburn, thanks! Lots of inspiring photos in this thread.
The service I had done probably was more expensive than the gun new.
Yes when I shoot in pairs I can shoot more in less time. Set out every thing in doubles is more officiant.Thank you Sir. I find, if you're gonna load 1 might as well load 2. Go for the Missouri reload...
Yeah, I mail ordered the gun and just got lucky with the gorgeous grain on the factory stocks.
May be a silly question but is that a Griswold barrel with a London or Dragoon trigger guard? Makes a mighty fetching piece!I have to reiterate: that is gorgeous wood! I think that the manufacturers put these out once in a while just to tease us buyers. Either that or the assemblers of the pistols just do it for grins.
This is the best I have and yours is so much better.
I am very jealous, sir.
Tell Goon to be very careful with the wood (I am sure he will!).
Jim
My assumption was that it was meant as a Leech & Rigdon copy. But now that you mention it, I haven't seen one of those in a squareback.May be a silly question but is that a Griswold barrel with a London or Dragoon trigger guard? Makes a mighty fetching piece!
As everyone else has said: Amazing wood. Moment I saw that image I saved it to my ginormous folder of firearms awesomeness. If you ever decide to post a higher-resolution version anywhere, lemme know.
