With much respect for the folks of this forum I submit:
War has been declared upon these United States of America not by a nation state but by a religion. Islam
We need to understand and define our enemy. Islam
We need to cognitively declare war upon that enemy. Islam
American civilians were attacked and died on 9-11, even the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, as heinous as it was, was against a military target.
Whenever American lives are at stake it is a serious matter. I pray that our leadership is doing the best it can for our armed forces.
This war will not end because we pull troops from Iraq.
That is only one of the battlefronts.
As an American I would much rather take the war to them than have it manifest in our malls, stadiums, schools or churches.
We are not sensitive to the fifth column that is growing in our midst. American blood was shed before we went to Iraq and it seems to have subsided since we got there and began to put it to them.
Once recognized that we are at war, annihilation to the point of surrender is the only option. Don't point [a gun] unless prepared to destroy.
I don't have access to classified material, the only proof I have that somethings about this war as waged right now are good is the fact that Alqueda has not been able to continue strikes on my homeland.
I remember Vietnam from my college dorm. I remember the lottery for the draft and resigning myself to going if chosen. I remember not being drafted but wanting to support my fellow Americans. I remember my government not being committed to winning. I remember than committing myself to the study and activism that would bring my fellow Americans home.
Be resolved to win. There is no pulling out of this one. It was brought to our shores. We may change locations but we won't end the hostilities with out a treaty from Islam.
Muslims who say that Islam and the Koran don't teach Jihad are either liars or ignorant.
I don't see the conflict ending in Iraq...it is only the beginning.
