The wife got me a Sig 229 for Xmas

I just now got a chance to post this after shooting it. All I can say is wow...I had a 220 at one point and it just did not fit me well. However, the 229 is a perfect fit and feels like it was made personally for my hand. I absolutely love this gun.

This one is in 40 S&W and I have wanted to like the 40 S&W, but I have never found a gun that I liked in that caliber. Nothing I have shot in the 40 S&W has been as accurate as I like. Well the 229 has solved this for me. It is very accurate. I will most likely get a 357 sig barrel for it also because I love shooting that round.

I had been wanting a 229 for a long time and just never got one for whatever reason. Well my wife, who had never bought a gun before, went and got a permit then got the gun and surprised me with it. She did everything on her own without any help from me. She was not a gun person when we met, but now she goes to the range almost as much as I do. However, I never thought she would have planned and bought this for me. I think she got tired of me saying I want a Sig 229 all of the time I got lucky when I got her

You're singing my song, friend. The P229 was love at first shot. I finished the mag, told the gentleman kind enough to let me shoot his "I gotta have one of these!"

Of course... I had to buy my own, so you're one up on me there. That's about the only thing I can think of better than a new Sig: A new Sig that comes wrapped as a present! I applaud your discriminating taste. Sounds like the wife is a keeper as well. Please have her speak with mine...
