There is a show about firearms in general coming on the History Channel tonight at 10:00 PM EST. I don't know if it will be any good, just saw a commercial.

Just started...they like to show guns ejecting the cases on the wrong sid sometimes, but it seems like a positive show.

Just finished watching it.

Mostly guns and ammo 101. . basics.

Some slo-mo shots were pretty interesting though.

Love his reaction on the AR. Not only does he call it an "M-16" but then follows it up with "This is a military weapon!!!"

At least he had good trigger-finger discipline, at least from what wasn't edited out.

I don't see a reason to go back and watch it Huddog. I didn't learn anything, and the blanket statements were annoying.

I wasn't completely impressed, a few errors. But overall, a decent program.

I did like the response to the hosts' question/miming of firing from the hip; "Not unless you want to die!" Nice to see someone calling that style of firing stupid basically. Maybe one less person fighting against pistol grips and "the thing that goes up".

edit: As someone else mentioned, I was impressed with his muzzle and trigger control. But some statements left me with my hand in my face.

i noticed a few goofs in info but all in all pretty good for the average person

Everyone laughs the first time they shoot a buzzgun.

Screwed up with a few things... Mostly technocrap that only folks like (some of) you or I would get...

And I have an idea for a new wildcat... Which aint' gonna be like any other, but may be made from a .308 or bigger...

Just watched it and thoroughly enjoyed it, espeically the scenes at the Smith and Wesson production plant in Springfield, MA. Yes, the host was a little goofy and got a few niggling things wrong, but lighten up for crying out loud. I thought it was refreshing to see guns portrayed in the media as something other than evil killing machines.

I only saw the first half, (I got bored when he loads the .50 cal and says anything bigger is illegal. I I guess he didn't remember that hole from the slug he shot) but from what I saw, I really liked that he made the point that guns were only simple mechanical objects, and ammunition simply chemical packages. Puts it much more in line with a hammer and nails than [futureweaponvoice] 'this is a super high-intensity, over-penetrating, space-age material, front line, spec ops military weapon, and I'm whispering because you shouldn't even know this.'

M-16 semi auto you say? Well, I sure wouldn't call it a full auto.

eh..wasnt terrible but wasnt great. the host was a bit dweebish but i guess fair minded and open.

nice intro for folks...though the anti's prob hated it. so i guess that moves it up a notch to good show huh?
