just watching a show on the discovery channel of all places where they are predicting a zombie apocalypse. Just want everyone on here to remember that as much as we like the walking dead, that Zombies are not real nor will they ever be. Just saying that because of all the people who thought the world would end today. Zombies are not real and will never be. Just so you know.

I, for one, was looking forward to being turned into a llama; movies have taught me to view this as both character building AND potentially reversible.
Zombies? I thought the zombie craze was dying down (no puns). Maybe they Channel just 'discovered' how behind the times they are.
Preppers? I for one see nothng wrong with a well-stocked freezer chest and a fair stockpile of ammo.

I think the only thing people really choke on when accepting the existence - current or future - of zombies is the whole eating brains/body parts thing.
Don't think of it so much as a zombie needing to literally consume you to establish its existence.
Rather - note how many of the otherwise "walking dead" want to feed off of your labors and efforts in a more figurative sense.

Go to youtube and watch the security video of the guy who ate the homeless mans face off - brutal and horrific. As a consequence of my employment, I've seen a lot of gory stuff in real life - results of conventional assaults and homicides - but seeing that poor mans legs kicking as his attacker was literally eating him alive ... it was nauseating.
I think that particular ghoul was high on bath salts or something ... but there are a lot of addicts to other drugs that can be just as violent and insane.
True that reanimated corpses are not real ... but there are real life drugs, diseases, even fungi, that can and do illicit uncontrollable behavior in living beings that is a mirror image of what we see in the zombie myth.
