From Tom Gresham’s Gun Talk comes a free series of videos for those interested in self defense.

I think there are currently 11 videos posted, with more to come.
They seem to run about 15 minutes each, and cover a variety of topics such as knife attacks, carjacking, home invasion, etc.

No doubt the videos / training is based on real life incidents, and can be a great learning tool.

Here’s the link of their YouTube Channel – you might want to subscribe to the channel?

For those of you with TVs, Blu-ray players, etc with YouTube capability, you may enjoy watching these with your family on your TV instead of your computer.

It seems I’m watching more and more stuff on YouTube on the TV these days!

Enjoyable watching, thanks.

I've only watched the knife and convenience store episodes thus far, but seems pretty cool for tv.

I'd hasten to add that good people can disagree on some points here and there: I would strongly recommend that one not put rounds into a perp holding a gun on a cashier unless shooting is already underway anyhow. A savvy prosecutor could bring Roger Enoka in to testify that you caused the cashier to get shot. Seriously.

That fella that was the victim of the knife attack looked pretty pitiful, didn't he!

For those of you that haven't seen it yet, they used a permanent red marker to simulate a knife, and the "victim" was wearing a white shirt.

The knife attacker started from a distance, and before the armed defender could get his gun out, he had slashes across about every main artery.

His white shirt was covered with red slashes, along with two along each side of the arteries in his neck.

The carjacking episode was pretty good also.

I'm 'bout 2/3 the way through 'em.

Watched 'home invasion' and 'random attack' last night. That sort of shootout inside a house is definitely something I'd want to avoid, given how little cover houses actually provide. The shoulder bump was new to me-and I try to stay up on things, I'm just not much of a carbine guy. Very cool technique, and it shows the value of both a rifle and the laser. Gear is not the most important component, but it's definitely a component.

The random attack scenario seemed absolutely tailor-made to back up what little I know of 'southnarc's' MUC training; our fellow could have used more verbal skills, more 'fence' and definitely more angling to either 3 or 9 on the clock to keep up on his 6. Very validating of what I know of that whole school of thought, IMHO.

Mostly though, it's just fun to watch. Never heard of Greg Lapin (any relation to Lee? hah!) before, but he sure seems like a young fellow I'd like to have a beer with.

Great stuff, I'll be forwarding on to family and friends.
So far I see a lot of what I'd call preconcieved notions being shot out of the water. So often in personal defense debates in person and on the internet people have their own scenario of how an attack may take place and how their tools both mental and physical will work, these videos sure put some reality into that.
