Self-defense is an absolute right whether it's written down anywhere or not.
The right of self-defense includes the right to have the means to exercise it, i.e., a weapon.
The most efficient and effective weapon for self-defense is a gun.
Any gun is better than no gun.

Lawbreakers are not affected by laws limiting access to firearms. That's why they're called "lawbreakers".
Guns are dangerous; they're supposed to be. The point of training, practice, and safety rules is to make sure they're dangerous to BGs and not to you and yours.

People talk about gunfights much more than they actually have them; and theoretical or hypothetical gunfights are way easier, clearer, and simpler than the real thing.
If you have to tell people what a bada** you are, you're probably not.
What comes after a gunfight is usually worse than the gunfight itself; lawyers can f*** up your life as badly as bullets.
A single-action .45 may not be the best choice for self-defense, but it will still kill a BG just as dead as it did in 1880.
Ditto for a lever-action Winchester or Marlin.
Ditto again for an exposed-hammer side-by-side shotgun.
Glocks are ugly as sin and extremely uncool, but they're light, they don't break, they don't wear out, and they always go "bang" when you pull the trigger.
1911s are old-fashioned and common as fleas, but there are reasons they're so common and that people still use them: They work, and they make great big holes.
People will argue all day about ARs vs. AKs, but we will all agree that either is better than throwing rocks--and that it's better to be behind either one than in front of it.
You usually get what you pay for, but a cheap gun is better than none, and some cheap guns are pretty good. Also, with some expensive guns, you're paying much more for prestige and "name" than for actual improvements in quality or performance.
A skilled man with a cheap .22 is more likely to win (i.e., survive) a gunfight than a horse's a** with a $7,000 super-custom tricked-out full-auto folding-stock .532 Loudenboomer.
You can kill a deer with a .22, but only if it's all you have and there's no other food less than 24 hours away.
If a choice comes down to "Do (x) or die for sure," pick (x).
