I was thinking about getting one of the BFR 45-70 pistols.
I already have brass from when I owned a Marlin lever action.
With all the Magnum monster guns out there, like the .460 and .500 S&W, I wanted to join the big caliber club.

Is this weapon a good choice? Do they shoot well?

I've read reviews by supposid "experts" but I'm looking for info from those who own and shoot this firearm.

I have one and I am shooting 405 gr. bullets. My groups are outstanding.
I love the 45-70 in the BFR, I also have the 500 mag in the BFR. Both are tack drivers.

The 45-70 in the BFR can go from mild to wild. I have a Leupold 2X scope on mine, my 500 mag in the BFR has a Ultra-dot on it.

I say if you want it, get it.
