What is the rate of twist on the .58 barrel?

it is either 1 in 21 . or 1 in 24.. i dont remember for sure.. but i do know it is a faster twist . i dont think they make them anymore in .58.

I don't know the Blue Book value on the gun, but I did do a search of one of the premier online auction sites for Cabela's Hawken rifles sold in the past 90 days. The results are as follows:

http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=126019259

http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=123541716

http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=120952047

http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=120568295

I was unable to locate any sales of spare barrels.

I sold one I had on gunbroker a few months ago ...I got 175.00 for it .
The extra barrel would be worth something ...75.00 or 100.00 maybe

It's a shame the used market is so weak on hawken style rifles. Always seems to be a bunch of them on GB. I'll hang mine on the wall before I sell it for one third I have in it.

I have a .50 Cabela's Hawken Hunter Carbine in left hand. I only gave about 180 for it, but that was back in the early/mid 90s. I'd sure like to have a 1:48 barrel for it. It has a 1:24 which shoots heavy minies and sabots fine, but I kinda would like something that would shoot patched ball. If I could find a barrel that would swap for a hundred bucks or something reasonable, I'd jump all over it. Added complication, though, it's a left handed gun. I'll just have to break down and buy me another rifle sometime off Gunbroker or something.

i have a couple of left handed guns.. as my whole family is left handed.. had to search long and hard to find good used ones. got a .50 renigade for the wife. and a cva 32 for the boy. both lefthanded.
