I traded off a beautiful condition 27-2 to a member of this forum. I have regretted it ever since! Take my word for it, don't get rid of that gun. You might not miss it for a month, a year, 2 years, but eventually you will realize your mistake and it will HAUNT YOU!
I recently picked up a Lew horton 3" model 29 and a very nice 696-1 with box and papers. Learning from my past, I will for sure keep these two guns. I am trying to learn to be patient and save up the money to buy instead of trade. I have no issues trading off glocks and other modern guns, after all, they still make them and can be replaced easily. The classic discontinued guns though, you'll never find them new again and prices just go up and collector value increases along with pride of ownership.
