I'll have to remember the vanilla trick. Wonder if it works on opossums as well.
I've been using cat food and cat food mixed with peanut butter but it usually takes a few days to trap the offending raccoon, or opossum once I see that they are active around my farm. (Opossums carry diseases that are very bad for horses).
