We did an escort for a soldier whose body was flown back yesterday. There must have been at least 75 bikes there. We rode about 30 miles from the airport to the funeral home. They were calling for thunderstorms all day and thankfully the Good Lord kept us dry. All along the way, there were hundreds of people standing along side the road to wave their flags and pay their respect.
Just when you think all hope for patriotism and our fine republic is lost, you enounter something like this to remind you that there are still tried and true patriots among us.
This is the line as we waited for the casket to be unloaded.
This guy on the tractor stopped as the procession went by. He had his hat over his heart. When time is precious for a farmer, he still stopped what he was doing to pay his respect.
