I come home with a new gun.
Friend of mine was wanting to sell this Sig P229. He has put a couple hundred rounds through it. I offered him $450 and he took it. Didnt really need this gun but I figured if I could get it for that price it would be worth it. It came with an extra 357sig bbl. ( Its a .40), extra set of Hogue grips and a Done Hume Holster.

I'm jealous. I paid just a little more for mine; used, without the extra barrel. grips and holster. I had to do some refinishing to boot. I'm real happy with mine, but you got quite a deal!
I like your choice of background:):

Shhh! Sammy, He feels bad enough already without making a profit on it!

I'll give you $400. ;) bad j/k

Enjoy it, there have been some screaming deals on 229s recently, if this keeps up my 220 may have to wait.

Enjoy, remember SIG is not a brand name but some sort of Western European buying addiction.

Yeah I have been needing to get a Sig to add to the collection. Cant wait to shoot it. I have been dry firing it a bit and the DAK trigger seems pretty nice.

Wuff wuff

First, ya can't beat a Sig P229 40cal, as it don't get no better.. 4000 flawless, soft-recoil, 180gr rounds tells me so.. :)

Just make sure ya use some snap-caps doing that, otherwise you might not like the surprise up the road.. if you do, disregard this statement.. :)

Is it bad to dry fire the Sigs with the DAK trigger?
Dont really know much about that specific trigger mechanism.

Now I feel inadequate as I only have 2 Sig Sauers! I sold my sigpro though and I'm not the biggest fan of decock only autos except for mainly Sig Sauer.

German over-priced.

 JK, sell the conversion barrel, buy more ammo and enjoy. Wish I was around for those deals.

Can anyone confirm Lonestars statement about not dryfiring The Sig.
Not sure if Lonestar is just one of the people that doesnt like to dryfire a gun without them or if the DAK trigger system should not be dry fired.
I dryfire all my guns without Snap caps. Well unless I am going to be doing it hundreds of times in a session.
For instance when I used to shoot IDPA I would dryfire my Wilson about 500 times per session but I would use snap caps.
Say If I just dry fire it 20-30 times I usually dont use the snap caps.
