I ran across a Thompson Auto-Ordnance at one of my local pawn shops. Someone did some major tune-ups to this thing. Custom hammer, extended saftey and slide lock levers, speed bump grip lever, fitted barrel bushing, extended mag well, and a match grade barrel....all in chrome. Plus a real nice custom sight set. The action feels smooth and the trigger pull is great.
My question is are these made in the U.S. and are they a quality piece? From what I can fine on the auction sight they don't seem to bring more that about $500-$600. Nowhere on TAO's page does it say where they are made.
This one could be had for what I would call a very good price for a 1911. I just don't know much about them.
Any info on them would be helpful. Never know, if I hear good things about it I might just end up with another 1911......which is never a bad thing.
Thanks all. Dominick
