Thompson center contender question

Can a Thompson Center Contender .22LR Barrel be bored out to run 22 MAGS? forget changing the barrels, the guy WANTS to bore out the barrel he has
At any rate I need to give him an answer... what would the cost be?

Forget chambering??? You have to chamber and a 22mag is just a bit bigger bore,sooo Look around and get a 22mag barrel.

The difference is .223 vs .224, not something to bore, rechamber maybe but not rebore.

Not sure about the cost of re-chambering but it probably won't run much less than the price of a new barrel. $275 from T/C's Custom Shop.

also look at bullberry barrels i have one and a love it!!
Ive shot 2 groups right at 1/2 in at 100 yds with mine.
its a 7-30 waters

You can have a .22lr rechambered for .22WMR (.22 mag).

Chances are the bore is .224" anyway.

If ED's doesn't have one in stock, MGM is probably the fastest, and one of the best, T/C barrel makers.
