Please hit this poll if you care

I hate to say it, but I dont think he can win. He's 'too' conservative for your average voter. Sure, we WANT him, but with the presidency we have to remember you have to convince joe six pack to like him too, not just die-hard gun lovers and conservative Christians.

And remember, some of the most evil gun laws have passed under conservative presidents, anyway. In fact, one of the top 2 most evil - freezing of the automatic weapons NFA registry - all under Reagan's watch.

What's not to like?

He's an articulate, down-to-earth guy with a good voting record and a positive public image. He has 10 times the Presidential stature of Hillary or O-boy.

The man exudes appeal.

Sure of course hes likeable. But then you have your pro-abortion activists, and that will right away cut out MANY female voters. I seem to recall hes pro-life..

When running as a conservative being pro-abortion will not help you at all. If someone is a single issue abortion voter they are likely voting down one side of the card anyway.

If "Joe Sixpack" would rather have Hillary or Obama than Fred Thompson than this country is fubared anyways.:(

Did you post a link to these stickers? I was thinking of just making copies to drop on a parking garage or 10 close to where I work.
Maybe I will just make a trifold with details on him as well as Ron Paul and Tom T.

What you have to remember is, you do not vote for someone in a vacuum. You vote for one of two people from the two major parties that will be the next POTUS. Most times you have to vote with two hands: one to hold your nose, and the other to cast your ballot.

Reagan was too conservative to be elected......twice.:)

Conversely a pro-life liberal (which can be very different than a "conservative christian") tends to vote down one side of the card only when both main candidates are pro-abortion. They just tend not to be as loud about it

How can Joe-Sixpack not like the guy from the action thriller Die Hard. Wasn't he the tough talkin' Air control Tower guy?

I always find it funny to see that those on the far right or far left both share the same basic trait: they see the world as they want it to be, not as it really is. After a little research, beyond 2A issues, I think Fred seems to line up best with my personal beliefs, not 100% but pretty damn close. Here's an interesting link for those interested in a candidates position on many issues http://www.ontheissues.org/Senate/Fred_Thompson.htm

Amazing isn't it?

With a significant list of R's already declared & campaigning their posteriors off, Fred Thompson is massively in the lead on a poll for an office he's not yet running for. Boy that just speaks volumes about the R candidates already in the race. Then again many of the R’s who are being focused on by the mass media might as well be Ds.

Stack the D and R deck as you like but if Thompson runs, he wins the nomination and the office.

but with the presidency we have to remember you have to convince joe six pack to like him too,

The Democrats now control Congress because many Conservative Democrats won in 2006.

"Joe Six Pack" didn't vote for Hillary Clinton, he voted for a conservative Democrat over a moderate Republican in many cases.

Ronald Reagan didn't save us from liberal Democrats, he saved us from check-pants, country club moderate, weasel Republican career politicians.

Unfortunately, they are back.

And the REAL bad news is...the Dems are now WAY worse.

We need help. GO FRED THOMPSON!!!
