I have a Thompson Center Thunderhawk that I love. It was found in a basement shot, left and crusted and rusted. I was able to break everything free and get it cleaned up. Shoots spectacular with TC shockwaves and 100gr of powder. I have had a few instances of primer misfires and see that at one time a 209 primer kit was made for it, discontinued now. Any downside to doing the switch over? Any idea where I may be able to track one down?

warren out doors on the internet. slight slower to reload but you will get the hang of it. no misfires and the breech of the barrel will be cleaner between shots. use the hottest shot gun primer you can buy. hot is good.this isnt a new thing, in the late 1800/s as soon as shot guns with shot shells came out a type of nipple for a muzzleloader was made to use the shot gun primer in it. also others like have been made to use other kinds of primers. pedersoli used to make one also that fits your gun. check the pedersoli importer on the east coast if he is still active you may want to try theirs. warren outdoors uses the magspark one. both are very very good. let us know how it turns out.
