Those Who Don't Like the Tavor

You would think if I could bring myself to own guns from so many various Communist cesspits, I could bring myself to own one from Israel if it is a good rifle... I don't know though, something about it doesn't sit right with me.

Dude, it's only a gun, and the Israeli's don't generally make bad guns --people and their imagined hang-ups... :rolleyes

Unless, of course, you mean the bullpup format, which simply doesn't suit lots of people (I have a theory --just a theory-- that the bullpup format which requires one to reach a mag across ones torso, is more difficult for more... 'corpulent' shooters, and this justifiably leads to a dislike of bullpup formats. Again, just a theory ;))

I have a theory that some of the problem with acceptance of the design is the designation "bullpup". Just what the hedoubletoothpicks is a bullpup? Is it the spawn of an Angus and Airedale? Perhaps if the design designation was something "sexier" it would find more acceptance. Sorta the same kind of "sexiness" the term "Battle Cruiser" has because it conveys the impression of full-size power coupled with agility and speed. Perhaps if we called the design a "Battle Carbine" it would be more popular. Let us just hope the "Battle Carbine" doesn't turn-out to be as much of a mistake as Battle Cruisers.
