so what about reliability of the 3 mentioned rifles?
spareparts for the 336 and m1 carbine are easy to get here. i don`t know about the ruger scout.

From what I've been told, if the Ruger needs its firing pin replaced, the gun has to go to the factory for fitting or something. Perhaps in Germany, Ruger has a distributor that would provide parts so you wouldn't have to ship it overseas.

As far as reliability, the GSR is very reliable. Just put in a magazine, cycle the bolt, and pull the trigger. However, a new GSR will have a fairly rough bolt that will need a lot of cycling, with oil but no live ammo, to smooth it out. Also, the issued 10 round steel magazine is a bit harder to cycle from when full compared to the factory issue polymer magazines.

I've only fired 336 Marlins that belong to others and haven't heard anyone complain of the gun not being reliable.

Both of these guns require quite a bit more force to cycle the actions with live ammo than a typical rimfire rifle. So, be prepared to "muscle" them a bit.
