Here's my Pietta 1851 Navy .44, made in 2000. Bought it at a gun show Feb. 2012; never fired except for clearing out the oil with just caps.
The previous owner may not have known how to install the wedge, as it was in almost up to the screw. Had a wee bit of trouble knocking it out so I could disassemble the pistol for a thorough cleaning.
Two Uberti 1873's..the top one is a cap and ball version and the bottom one is .45Colt,I shoot black powder in the cap and ball and smokeless .45 Colt.
I have taken the cap and ball to the range a couple of times and it shoots great.
